SIA Nordtorf supplies horticultural peat and peat products with or without transport, depending on the agreement with the client and SIA Nordtorf’s capabilities. The company sells unpackaged horticultural peat according to the supply conditions of FOB (bulk ships), CPT and FCA (special trucks). Packaged horticultural peat is sold according to the supply conditions of FCA and DDU (trucks), FOB, CIF and CFR (ship containers). Packaged peat products can be produced and transported on pallets (all package sizes) or without them (70/80 l, 150 l and 250 l). Large packs (4000 l, 5800 l and 6300 l) can be produced and transported only on pallets. The number of peat bales per pallet depends on the dimensions of the package and pallet. The number of peat bales per pallet is presented in Table A and loading limits in Table B. As a rule, packaged peat products can be loaded on trucks only on a pallet. There are 3 ways to load peat bales into ship containers: without a pallet, only on a pallet and by using a combined method (on a pallet, free space is filled with peat manually). Packaged peat products on pallets can be transported on a ship’s deck and in the cargo hold – in this case, loading limits depend on the volume of the order, ship size and type.

The company employs experienced logisticians, who organize the loading of produced products onto the means of transport (supply conditions FCA and FOB) and, should the client so wish, also organise the transport of ordered products (supply conditions DDU, CIF and CFR). The organizing of supplies is conducted on the basis of previously agreed, written supply plans. The loading of trucks and ship containers is organized on the basis of previously agreed, written day and week plans. During the high season, the company loads up to 80 trucks and ship containers per day. The company collaborates with several international and local transportation and logistics companies.
